WORSHIP SCHEDULE FOR 2018
Sunday Services in Spanish are at 11:00 a.m. with Fellowship Following
The focus of the Pelican Community Center is to support all families and individuals through their daily struggles of life, by providing what they need most in order to be happier and healthier families, and to become productive members of society. Our center provides English Literacy Classes in the mornings and evenings. We serve the multi-cultural, multi-ethnic communities within Collier County. The Pelican Community Center is a mission, and our work is reviewed and overseen by Grace Lutheran Church of Naples. Our center welcomes all.
The Pelican Community Center will be a center of life and growth for the full-time/year-round residents of the Naples community. It will be a place where people come together as friends – regardless of their language, race, religion or origin. Everyone here both gives and receives in one way or another. Someone who receives help today may be the teacher or assistant to someone else tomorrow. The teaching and encouragement of life skills, spoken languages, work skills, and family support are defining qualities of the Pelican CC. The community of Naples is better as a result of the selfless assistance offered here ALL year.
Pelican Community Center exists to actively provide useful, relevant, fun, skill-building activities and classes to develop individuals and families within the diverse, multi-cultural community of greater Naples. Our goal is to provide what is needed for the full-time residents of Naples to “spread their wings” and serve as productive members of society to their greatest ability and for the greatest good of all.
Thank you to the volunteers from Redeemer Lutheran Church who visited with us from December 31-January 3, 2019 to help with our English classes and cleanup of church property during their stay. The “Peoria Team” consisted of 7 young ladies from high school/college and 3 adults. They joined the GRACE Youth for a special Youth Night at GRACE on December 30th; rang in the New Year with the Eisolds and friends; enjoyed home-cooked dinners from Brazil and Cuba; had opportunities to go out & explore Naples a couple of nights; and accomplished GREAT THINGS for the mission of Christ here in Naples.
